Job Specification

We are looking for a Senior Cargo Sales Manager to join our dynamic charter team based in Battersea, London. You will be responsible for business development, expanding our customer base whilst also managing relationships with our existing customers. You will have full access to our innovative CharterSync system to coordinate new charter requests – ensuring you and the team deliver an unparalleled customer experience.

This is a varied role that will require you to adapt quickly and think on your feet in an often fast paced but collaborative environment. From the outset, the role will offer an increasing level of responsibility and the opportunity for fast career progression in a rapidly growing tech start-up.

Expected Tasks

  • New Business Development - Develop relationships with new freight forwarders and airline operators

  • International Sales - Meet with new forwarders and airlines globally to introduce and demonstrate what CharterSync can add to their company

  • Day-to-Day Operations – Use our world leading platform to respond and manage new charter requests

  • Customer Support - Provide ongoing support for initial charter requests and active charters. As a 24-hour business you will need to be prepared to be on-call to support customers and the team whenever required

Experience Required

  • 6 years minimum experience in a cargo charter sales role [Essential]

  • Experience within the logistics and freight sector [Essential]

  • Understanding and experience of cargo aircraft operations [Essential]

  • Multilingual: English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese and Italian [Preferable]

  • Experience of managing a small team (4 people +) [Preferable]

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a sales-oriented approach to new business development

  • Ambition, drive and motivation

  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team but also work independently

  • Confidence in developing new relationships with clients and suppliers

  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple workstreams at a given time

  • Ability to manage client expectations

  • Ability to listen to and clearly articulate client feedback
